Web3 Messaging Platform beoble Gets Backing from Animoca Brands:
beoble, a Web3 messaging and social platform, has received a strategic investment from Animoca Brands, a gaming and metaverse-focused venture capital firm.
The investment will support beoble's goal to become a leading global Web3 social platform by enhancing user interaction, privacy, and security through blockchain technology.
beoble offers wallet-to-wallet messaging, token-gated chatrooms, and earning features, and plans to expand its features and user base worldwide with the funding

Coinbase Is Giving Out Free Cards & Currency for NFT Game 'Parallel':
Coinbase is offering free in-game items and currency for the Ethereum NFT card game Parallel, which launched in open beta last week.
New players can receive $5 worth of in-game credits (Glints) and two non-NFT card packs by accessing the game through Coinbase's "explore" page or Base's social media posts.
Parallel, which mints some NFTs on Base and the Ethereum mainnet, is a collectible card game with a space opera setting, similar to Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering

Spanish Data Protection Agency to Temporarily Block Worldcoin:
Spain's data protection regulator, AEPD, has ordered Worldcoin's parent company, Tools for Humanity, to stop collecting and using previously collected information due to complaints about data collection practices.
The order, limited to Spain, gives Worldcoin 72 hours to comply and aims to prevent data transfer to third parties and protect personal data, with a prohibition on further activity in Spain for up to three months.
Worldcoin has faced international scrutiny, including raids in Kenya and questions about biometric data collection legality in Germany and France, as it navigates regulatory challenges in its data collection methods
French Fintech Unicorn Qonto Acquires Regate:
Qonto, a Paris-based business banking startup, acquires Regate, an accounting and financial automation platform.
The acquisition aims to expand Qonto's product offering and establish a presence in Mexico's real estate rental market.
Regate's technology will enhance Qonto's capabilities in financial automation and accounting, benefiting SMEs in Mexico.
Team8 Secures $500M to Propel Startups in Cyber, FinTech, & AI:
Team8 has announced the closure of funds amounting to $500m, bringing its total assets under management to over $1bn, and has launched three new funds to support the creation and growth of over 30 startups in sectors like FinTech, data infrastructure, AI, and digital health.
The fund has a unique Venture-Creation and Venture-Capital model that provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs, including a rigorous ideation and validation process, access to a global network of partners, and operational support from a platform team of over 80 experts.
Managing Partner and Chairman Yuval Shachar highlights the resilience of the Team8 model amid global economic challenges and market downturns, emphasizing the fund's success in making meaningful distributions to investors, building new companies, scaling existing ones, and raising multiple new funds, with an additional $85m in follow-on funds raised to support the most successful companies in its portfolio.
