Commerzbank Scores Crypto Custody License in Germany:

• Commerzbank, a major German bank, has become the first full-service bank in the country to obtain a crypto custody license under the German Banking Act (KWG), enabling it to offer digital asset services, including a secure, regulatory-compliant platform for institutional clients.

• The bank's COO, Jörg Oliveri del Castillo-Schulz, emphasized this development as a key milestone, reflecting Commerzbank's commitment to embracing technological advancements and providing digital asset services to its customers.

• This move follows Commerzbank's initial expression of interest in crypto services in April 2022 and its subsequent application for a license with BaFin in January 2023. The bank's entry into crypto custody is part of a broader trend in Germany, with other major banks like Deutsche Bank also pursuing similar services for institutional clients.

Disney and Dapper Labs Launch 'Digital Pin' Platform:

• Disney, tapping into its vast fanbase, is partnering with Dapper Labs, creator of NBA Top Shot, to launch "Disney Pinnacle," a digital pin platform that will enable collectors to purchase and trade branded NFTs created on the Flow blockchain.

• The initiative aims to modernize the classic hobby of pin collecting, featuring digital collectibles from Disney's century-long legacy, including characters from Pixar and Star Wars, presented as unique, tradable digital pins.

• This venture isn't Disney's first digital endeavor, following its earlier release of NFT Star Wars toys with Cryptoys. Disney Pinnacle, designed to incorporate lessons learned from Dapper Labs' past experiences, promises a dynamic, user-friendly platform for worldwide trading, set to debut on Apple's App Store by the end of the year.

PancakeSwap Launches Gaming Shop:

• PancakeSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX), has launched a new gaming marketplace to delve deeper into blockchain gaming, initially featuring two games based on its unique theme and planning to attract more game developers to its ecosystem.

• The marketplace aims to offer a space where gamers, developers, and the PancakeSwap community can engage, build, and connect, building on the success of its first GameFi title, Pancake Protectors. The platform promises easy integration for developers to use CAKE tokens and PancakeSwap's NFTs for in-game monetization.

• PancakeSwap, which began on BNB Chain and has expanded to other networks like Ethereum, Polygon, Base, and Arbitrum One, boasts a substantial user base with approximately 1.5 million potential monthly players, offering significant exposure for game developers within its marketplace.
