HSBC & Metaco to Launch Tokenized Custody Service Next Year:
HSBC partners with Ripple-backed Metaco, to launch a custody platform for tokenized securities, planning to integrate the service by 2024 with its HSBC Orion and gold tokenization offerings.
The move addresses growing client demand for digital asset custody, with tokenized securities enabling the digital representation of assets like stocks, ETFs, bonds, and potentially real estate and company ownership.
This partnership builds on HSBC's experience with tokenization, following a successful trial with Ant Group and the introduction of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs tied to CME futures contracts by its Hong Kong division.

Polygon and Near Are Bringing zkWASM to Life:
Polygon Labs teams up with the NEAR Foundation to introduce zero-knowledge (zk) proofs to WebAssembly (WASM) blockchains, allowing for enhanced privacy and efficiency in the proving process for developers.
The collaboration will diversify development beyond Solidity, making it easier for new developers to join Web3 by using Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) with a zkWASM prover, expected to launch next year.
This initiative aims to improve scalability and interoperability between NEAR and Ethereum ecosystems, with future plans for a shared bridge and interoperability layer for seamless access to Ethereum liquidity and expanded zk options for developers.

Illuvium Goes Mainstream With Looming Epic Games Store Listing:
Illuvium, a blockchain-based game, is set to expand its reach to a vast audience by getting listed on the Epic Games Store, home to blockbuster games like Fortnite, starting November 28.
The game features three different genres within its universe to cater to diverse gaming preferences and is developed using Unreal Engine 5 on the Immutable X network, aiming to break into the mainstream gaming market.
Despite challenges such as regulatory uncertainty, potential pay-to-win concerns with NFT integration, and crypto market volatility, Illuvium's listing represents a significant step for blockchain games to gain traction among traditional gamers and industry platforms.
