Stripe Reenters Crypto With USDC on ETH, Solana and Polygon:
Stripe is re-entering the cryptocurrency sector by announcing plans to allow merchants to accept and receive payments in USD Coin (USDC), the second-largest stablecoin, starting this summer on platforms including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon.
The integration aims to empower Stripe users by facilitating global reach and providing their customers with easy, fast, and reliable transactions without needing a bank account or credit card, according to John Egan, head of crypto at Stripe.
Payments in USDC will be automatically converted into fiat currency for deposit into merchants' Stripe accounts, aligning with the company’s broader vision of embracing cryptocurrencies and enhancing financial inclusivity while ensuring transaction security through features like KYC requirements.

MapMetrics Ditches Solana Blockchain For Peaq:
MapMetrics, a decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) project, is migrating from the Solana ecosystem to peaq, a layer-1 blockchain solution optimized for DePIN and real-world machine assets, to leverage peaq's modular functionality and machine identity features.
Brent van der Heiden, co-founder of MapMetrics, highlights that peaq's infrastructure, including a decentralized multi-chain machine identity and a DePIN data verification framework, will enhance their project's functionality and expand its features.
The migration to peaq will occur in multiple phases, involving smart contract deployments, transfer of core business logic, native token minting on peaq, and providing a bridging option for existing token holders, aiming to tap into peaq's community of DePIN enthusiasts and potential enterprise partnerships.

Visa Teams With AWS to Streamline Cross-Border Payments:
Visa has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network to enhance the integration and accessibility of its services for partners and clients, including cloud-native fintechs, allowing them to more efficiently access and utilize Visa's offerings without leaving their established platforms.
As part of this new partnership, Visa is introducing its Cross-Border Solutions on AWS, aimed at streamlining cross-border transactions and multi-currency holdings, addressing the significant friction U.S. merchants face with an average 11% cross-border payment failure rate.
Visa is also participating in AWS Activate, AWS's flagship startup program, which will provide Visa’s Fintech Fast Track program members with benefits such as up to $100,000 in AWS Activate, facilitating the expansion of digital payments, banking, and embedded finance capabilities for enterprises and fintech startups on AWS.
