Revolut Reveals Revolut Ramp in Partnership With MetaMask:
  • Revolut has partnered with MetaMask to launch Revolut Ramp, a new crypto offering for users in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA), enhancing its commitment to the cryptocurrency sector.

  • Revolut Ramp allows users to quickly on-ramp and purchase cryptocurrencies directly into their MetaMask wallets using fiat currency from their Revolut account or with a Visa or Mastercard bank card, supporting over 20 different tokens.

  • The feature includes an integrated KYC process for non-Revolut customers, while existing Revolut users can bypass verification checks, offering a seamless and efficient checkout process within Revolut's ecosystem, aiming to make crypto more accessible and foster broader adoption.

Coachella Festival Gives NFT Passes Another Try:
  • Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will release NFT collectibles for access to this year's event in April, partnering with OpenSea and minting on the Avalanche blockchain.

  • The first collection, VIP Pass + Oasis Lounge Keepsake, includes 1,000 NFTs with VIP Festival Pass and lounge access, followed by two more collections offering merchandise, digital content, and VIP area access.

  • After the collapse of FTX, which impacted previous Coachella NFTs, the festival has worked to reissue NFTs and ensure continued benefits for affected buyers.

Monzo Raises $430 Million:
  • London-based fintech Monzo raised a late-stage funding round of $430 million, reaching a post-money valuation of $5 billion.

  • The round is led by Google's growth fund CapitalG, with participation from GV, HongShan Capital, and existing investors like Passion Capital and Tencent.

  • Monzo, which had faced challenges including a down round and a withdrawal from the U.S. market, has rebounded with a focus on the U.K. and now serves nine million retail customers and 400,000 businesses.

Ziff Acquires Digital Lending Startup Arrenda:
  • Ziff, a Mexico-based fintech offering revenue-based financing, has acquired digital lending startup Arrenda.

  • The acquisition includes Arrenda's lending platform Adelanta, which allows commercial property owners in Mexico to access capital against their lease receivables.

  • Ziff aims to strengthen its position in Mexico's $9.23 billion real estate rental market and address liquidity challenges faced by SMEs, with plans to distribute over MXN 1 billion to SMEs by 2027​​.

Spreedly Appoints Peter Dougherty As New President:
  • Spreedly, a US-based payments orchestration platform, has appointed Peter Dougherty as its new president.

  • Dougherty will oversee go-to-market operations, including customer success and support, sales, marketing, and partnerships, bringing expertise in global team expansion and revenue growth.

  • Spreedly's technology connects businesses to payment services in over 100 countries with a single API, handling over $50 billion in annual transaction volumes​​.
