Centrifuge Launches On-Chain Fund Management Platform:
  • Centrifuge has launched its on-chain fund management platform, designed to import credit funds on public blockchains for a more efficient fund management process.

  • The platform consolidates a fund's on-chain and off-chain investment positions, transactions, and operations data in a secure environment, offering a unified control panel for fund managers to automate reporting, streamline operations, and enhance transparency for investors.

  • Web3 asset manager Anemoy has already adopted the new platform, integrating it with Trident Trust to manage their BVI professional fund built on Centrifuge, with the aim of increasing transparency and streamlining reporting and reconciliation processes.

Sequence & Google Cloud Partner to Bring Web3 Gaming to Cloud:
  • Sequence, a blockchain-based Web3 game development platform, has partnered with Google Cloud to bring its Web3 gaming tools and solutions to Google Cloud users, aiming to simplify the complexity of Web3 technology for game developers.

  • The partnership allows Google Cloud developers to use Sequence Builder, which includes embedded gamer wallets and in-game marketplaces, enabling both traditional web2 and Web3-native game developers to integrate blockchain-based elements into their games.

  • The collaboration addresses challenges in the blockchain gaming industry, such as user adoption and misconceptions about blockchain games, by allowing developers to focus on creating high-quality games without the complexity of understanding and building underlying blockchain infrastructure.

BlackRock Creates Tokenized Asset Fund:
  • BlackRock has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a tokenized asset fund, the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, registered in the British Virgin Islands in 2023, with a minimum investment of $100,000.

  • The fund's total size was not disclosed, but application values range from $1 to $100 million, and speculation suggests it may be Ethereum-based with stablecoin assets in the basket.

  • The news follows the approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs by the SEC and the success of BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink expressing interest in an Ethereum ETF as a step towards tokenization.

Nala Set to Offer Remittance Service, Building a B2B Payment Platform:
  • Nala, a Tanzanian fintech company, pivoted to offering a remittance service in 2021, targeting the growing demand for reliable and affordable money transfer services in Africa, with its consumer fintech app enabling users in the diaspora to send money across 249 banks and 26 mobile money services in 11 African markets.

  • To ensure reliability and minimize user charges, Nala developed its own B2B payment platform, Rafiki, which directly integrates with banks and mobile money providers, aiming to solve payout incidences and scale the business.

  • Nala has recently hired experienced executives to support its scaling plans and has seen a 10x revenue growth in the last 12 months, becoming profitable as it targets new markets and plans to venture into payments processing for businesses.

The CareVoice Secures $10M in Funding to Fuel Global Expansion Plans:
  • The CareVoice, a global embedded health enabler for insurers, has raised close to $10 million in its Series B funding round, led by Apis Insurtech Fund I, to enhance its CareVoiceOS platform and improve scalability and implementation costs for personalized health and wellness solutions.

  • The company is expanding its operations, establishing a European headquarters in Luxembourg, and strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Simon Guest as Chief Commercial Officer and Jan Velich as Chief Experience Officer.

  • CareVoice has experienced significant growth, operating in 15 countries and collaborating with major insurers worldwide to serve millions of customers, further solidifying its position as a leader in the embedded health solutions market.
