Web3 Social Media Platform beoble Secures $7 Million Seed:

• Hong Kong-based Web3 social platform beoble has closed a $7 million seed funding round with investors including Hashkey, Samsung, DCG, DWF Ventures, Nomura Laser Digital, Cypher Capital, and Blockchain Founders Fund.

• beoble plans to launch version 2 of its platform, featuring multi-chain integration, in-app social trading, OTC trading, B2B integrations, and chat-based advertising, aiming to capitalize on the rising demand for decentralized social media.

• The platform has experienced rapid growth, with 354,000 monthly active users and 600,000 monthly active wallets in January 2024, and is preparing to launch its native token, BBL, for various in-app activities on February 28th, 2024.

Yuga Labs Acquires Moonbirds NFT Startup Proof:

• Yuga Labs, the creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club, has acquired Proof, the NFT startup behind the Moonbirds collection and the Proof Collective membership program, integrating the Proof team and Moonbirds collection into its upcoming Otherside metaverse game.

• Proof co-founder and CEO Kevin Rose will assist with the handover before becoming an advisor to Yuga Labs, with the acquisition discussions turning quickly from initial outreach to a finalized deal.

• Yuga Labs plans to continue running the Proof Collective and align the Proof brand with its art world efforts, while the integration of Moonbirds into the Otherside game is seen as a perfect fit, with the future of the Proof branding still under consideration.

Revolut Plots ‘Standalone Cryptocurrency Exchange’:

• Revolut is inviting select customers to a new standalone cryptocurrency exchange targeting advanced traders, with plans to roll out more invites and provide deeper analytical tools and lower fees than its app.

• The launch follows Revolut's decision to temporarily pause UK business crypto purchases in compliance with new Financial Conduct Authority rules, with the pause effective since early January.

• The digital neobank had also announced the suspension of crypto services to US customers in October, as part of its ongoing adjustments to regulatory requirements and market demands.

• Equitable Bank (EQ Bank) has partnered with Trulioo to improve its customer and business onboarding processes using Trulioo's Business Verification system, Workflow API, and Identity Document Verification solution.

• The partnership aims to enhance EQ Bank's services for its growing customer base, providing speed, security, and a better experience, with a focus on meeting regulatory requirements and reducing fraud through advanced ID verification technologies.

• This collaboration follows JP Morgan Payments' selection of Trulioo for its personal and business identity verification services in October, showcasing Trulioo's increasing prominence in the financial industry.
